NEEDED: "In the News" Pour water into newspaper and back out trick.Do trick as per instructions except add few drops of red food coloring to secret compartment ahead of time.
PATTER: I know that if you would have picked up the local newspaper when Jesus was here on earth that there would have been news about Him.Lets see if there is some news here in this paper.(open paper) Oh yes how about when Jesus turned the water into wine.As you tell the story pour clear water into paper and when you pour the water back out it has turned into wine.
Moses crosses the Red Sea . Do trick as above,only tell story of Moses crossing the RED SEA.
"SIN Separates,JESUS Restores"
A cut and restored rope routine
A piece of rope is handed to a volunteer from the audience for inspection to make sure it is not a trick rope. Explain to the audience that you want to cut the rope into two separate pieces that are exactly the same size. Have volunteer cut the rope. The two pieces of rope are not the same size so you tell the audience that you are going to have to tie the rope back together because you made a mistake. While tying the rope back together tell the audience that Adam and Eve made a mistake too. God told them not to eat the fruit from one tree in the garden,but they ate the fruit anyway. Any time someone does something God says not to do it is called sin and sin separates us from God just like the rope was separated into two pieces. When the rope is tied back together show the knot to them on the rope tell them the knot represents Jesus;as you are removing the knot from the rope tell them that when we confess our sins and trust Him as savior we wo'nt be separated from God any more. Show the restored rope. There are a number of methods for cut and restored ropes that may be used. Look for "magic books" at your local library.

Three ropes of different length represent us; we are all different. When ropes appear to be the same explain that, God doesn't look at us or love us like we are different; He loves us all the same. He treats us all the same. For God so loved the world ; that's everybody! It doesn't matter to God who we are,we are all the same in His eyes. This trick may be purchased from magic dealers. "Lotta Bowl" Gospel Applications
The Lotta Bowl is a vase that when tipped up side down it appears that all the water in it is poured out.When the lotta bowl is turned upright again more water appears in the vase,turn lotta over again to pour out water until it is empty, it then refills itself so process may be repeated up to a dozen times. As you pour water out again and again talk about NOAH;that it kept raining and raining and when the rain finally stopped "when lotta is empty" explain that God made a promise to Noah in the form of a rainbow and that the Bible is full of promises for us. Also as you pour water out over and over again explain that God's LOVE is never ending; His BLESSINGS never stop,or tell the story of the LOAVES and FISHES multiplying.
