Christ Died For Our Sins
Reaching forth...
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (John 10:9)
We’re saved, for His name’s sake.
1 John 2:12
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Our Lord's character does not allow His Word to be broken (Matthew 24:35; John 10:33-38).
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
In a solid, impenetrable wall, there is the door, and Jesus says He is the door, and that by Him if any enter in, they shall be saved. There is no other way.
John 14:6
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Salvation is of the Lord.
Jonah 2:9
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.John 10:9
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
By Jesus we are saved. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy (Romans 9:13-16). We have a sure salvation for it is Jesus that saves us. Jesus tells us, by Him we are saved. And the ones to be saved are whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. By His blood we are redeemed, cleansed from sin, separated from our sin. By Him, for we must be born again. We are begotten by the Word.
1 Timothy 1:15
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.Matthew 1:21
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.Ephesians 1:7
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;Romans 6:18, 22-23
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
By His own blood He has redeemed us from our sins. To be redeemed is to be separated from our sin. Sin is what separates us from our God (1 John 3:10-16).
Isaiah 59:2
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Our Lord gives us new life, in that we our born by God, out of God (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15). While before we took pleasure in sin (Romans 1:32; 6:13), we now have new direction, in that the Spirit of God dwells in us (Romans 8:1, 9, 14-15); , and our desire is to please God, to be obedient to His commands for our life. No lost person desires that. Our sin has become exceeding sinful (Romans 7:13). When we discover that sin, based on the testimony of the Word we are sure to want to confess and forsake. While we are not perfectly sinless yet (Romans 8:13), we are perfectly saved, and are made whole in Christ (Colossians 2:9-10). Never are we given license to sin, but we are given a love of God that we hate sin (Psalms 97:10; 119:104; Proverbs 8:13; Romans 7:15-17, 24; 12:9).
Romans 12:9
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
We love Him, because he first loved us (1 John 4:10,19). We look for the redemption of the body where we will put off sin in the flesh (Romans 7:13-24). The redeemed are called and chosen and faithful (Revelation 17:14; John 15:16; Romans 8:30).
John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
We are now in Christ, as many as have put on Christ, and our duty is to go out into all the world to reach the gospel to every creature. We are not as Cain, that went about to destroy the light that reveled his own sin, but we walk in the light. Cain trusted in some thing he had done, and could not stand that light that reveled his darkness (1 John 3:12-13). Men that are lost love darkness (John 3:19), and go about to destroy the light they hate for the light reveals their own darkness.
What I find is that John 10:9 does indeed show eternal life, by my understanding of the counsel of God. All the Word is used to interpret any part of the word. We go in, by Him, the door, and go out proclaiming His praise (Psalms 51:13; Matthew 28:19-20; Psalms 119:171; Proverbs 22:17-18). We find pasture, even in the valley of the shadow of death, and before our enemies, for He gives us peace (Psalms 23; Psalms 119:165). If our heart condemn us, our position in Christ assures us, and we know we are the children of the King. Our desire is to confess and forsake what is not pleasing to our Lord. Our conscience tainted by sin is not our guide, but the Word is (Psalms 119:105; 138:2).
Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
But in every nation he that feareth him,
and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:34-35

Christ For The World We Sing
Words: Samuel Wolcott, 1869.
Music: “Italian Hymn,” Felice de Giardini, 1769
Christ for the world we sing,
The world to Christ we bring, with loving zeal,
The poor and them that mourn, the faint and overborne,
Sin sick and sorrow worn, whom Christ doth heal.
Christ for the world we sing,
The world to Christ we bring, with fervent prayer;
The wayward and the lost, by restless passions tossed,
Redeemed at countless cost, from dark despair.
Christ for the world we sing,
The world to Christ we bring, with one accord;
With us the work to share, with us reproach to dare,
With us the cross to bear, for Christ our Lord.
Christ for the world we sing,
The world to Christ we bring, with joyful song;
The newborn souls, whose days, reclaimed from error’s ways,
Inspired with hope and praise, to Christ belong.

A message of comfort from the Scriptures,
that we through patience and comfort
of the scriptures might have hope.
