Ana May's Last Supper
Chapter 8
The illusory project the group decided on was how to control High School Students in the twenty-first century to be sure that they are conditioned Machiavellian.
They had obtained access to a computer room in the Business Register building after hours through Brother Matthew, and the guise of the High School Conditioning project.
John had laid out the major portion of the plan to the group.
Garry and Brother Matthew were in the computer room. Their job was to get phone numbers and addresses of every computer attached to a modem in the major cities of the civilized world. There had been more than 12 million personal computers sold in the past few years and five million modems.
Garry, "We have a lot of computers in this room I will hook each one to a phone line and use the old wargame auto dial program. Each computer will dial a particular group of numbers in each city. Whenever there is a carrier detected, the program will record the number. We will then be able to access these numbers quickly, and through the phone computers find the address of each computer.
We also have access codes and special numbers for all the phone company computers in the civilized world.
Brother Matthew,"If anyone asks we are finding the numbers for the survey of the High Schools."
Garry, "Does this bother your religious convictions? I see that there is a cross with christ in every room on this campus. I am sure you must have some religious feelings about what we are doing."
Brother Matthew,"I have no qualms about hunting Ana May. Jesus Christ himself was probably the next higher evolutionary being, and the greed instilled in the culture of that time by Ana May destroyed him."
Gary,"You mean had Christ been worshipped as he should have been, and reproduced, we would all now be super beings?"
Brother Matthew,"Yes. The people of the culture considered him a threat to their materialistic wealth and destroyed him."
Garry, "Do you believe that he will come again?"
Brother Matthew, "No. Not as long as Ana May is in control. You have to realize that Ana May had to stop evolution so she could occupy the next higher niche.
There is no room in a niche that high for two species of that much power."
Garry, "Could not Ana May be God Herself?"
Brother Matthew, "No, or she would not have killed her son Jesus.
God is probably change itself or the change manifested in the squared time patterns noted in Neal's original paper. When Ana May took over, god was essentially killed, or rather used as a tool of Ana May to keep the human slaves in line."
Garry,"As Martin Luther basically said, God favored the most materialistic."
Brother Matthew, "Yes. Before Martin Luther, the spiritual non material man was considered far more important. After Martin Luther and Machiavelli, the evolutionary man was almost a total slave to Ana May."
Garry, "Isn't man as a species not capable of taking care of himself?"
Brother Matthew," What do you mean?"
Garry, "It appears to me that man does all things as a love of self or love of genetic immortality.
A baby loves his parents because his parents are necessary for his personal survival. At this same time, he loves his brothers and sisters since they are also him or rather the same general genetic make-up as he is.
As he matures, he loves the opposite sex which then becomes necessary for reproduction, and therefore his genetic survival. He breaks away from his parents as they are no longer as necessary for his genetic survival. At this time he can also become a warrior and defend, by death if necessary, his brothers and sisters or nieces and nephews.
After he has his own children, his love then shifts more directly to his children instead of his mate. If he has no children, he will contribute to society so his indirect genes of brothers, sisters, and cousins will continue and, therefore, he himself.
Love itself and even self sacrifice is not as it seems, but only a love of self down to the genetic level"
Brother Matthew, "I think there is no way we cannot consider our genetic code sacred.
We are ourselves. Our selves must be more important than government,materialism or Ana May.
Our problems come when we use our own innate love of our genetic code for the benefit of Ana May and not our genetic code itself."
Garry, "But don't we use Ana May for the perpetuation of our own genetic code. As long as Ana May fills the higher species niche, then we can continue at our lower niche."
Brother Matthew,"There are two major problems. First of all we trust Ana May. Look at how many genetic codes have trusted man. The passenger pigeon, Carolinian parakeet to name a couple. We must only trust ourselves.
Secondly, we are assuming incorrectly, that genetic stability is the truth or rather the lack of change is truth. The problem here is that we cannot control our environment, and at the intelligence level man is, we can never control it. In
the future, there are unknowns that this species of man will never be able to cope with. Ana May will not even be able to help. We must continue genetic change or our genetic codes will terminate."
Garry, "Yes. I think I understand. In a few days, we will have the data we need to go on to step two. In the mean time I will work with Phillip to get the computer program completed."
