EDT 280 - Power Point Lab Project
Winter Quarter 2000
INSTRUCTIONS: Select a grade level, subject, and specific lesson that you would like to teach. Next, choose one of the options below for incorporating Power Point into your lesson.
Option #1: Create a Power Point slide show that can be used as a visual aid to introduce, teach, or summarize the lesson you have chosen.Option #2: Create an interactive slide presentation that your students can use independently, such as a quiz or interactive storybook.
The following requirements apply for each option:Power Point Lab Projects are due February 8.
- Minimum of ten slides
- Include transitions and effects.
- Use images (where appropriate) that support the text and content.
- The content and slide organization should be displayed in a logical order.
- The use of navigational buttons should be easy to see and understand.
- Apply good design techniques (images, sounds, backgrounds, etc.. should not distract from the content; be consistent in the use of background designs and buttons . . .)
- Type a brief report (in an email message to me) that identifies the grade level, subject, and specific lesson the Power Point slide show is addressing. Explain how the presentation will be used (ex: will you use it while teaching? will students use it in groups? independently? is it for introducing, teaching, or summarizing a topic?).
SUBMIT THE POWER POINT SLIDE SHOW AS FOLLOWS:
- Use the TopClass program at the web address: http://wisdom.wright.edu/topclass
- After logging in, go to the email section. Send the email to the address: dgarman
- Type a brief message that identifies the grade level, subject, and specific lesson the Power Point slide show addresses. Explain how the presentation will be used (ex: will you use it while teaching? will students use it in groups? independently? is it for introducing, teaching, or summarizing a topic?).
- Attach your Power Point file and then send the email.\
