- In Search of
Stellaluna's Family - In this webquest, Stellaluna, a bat that was lost from her
mother at a young age, needs help finding out who and what she is. Students will
discover all about the unique characteristics of bats as they help Stellaluna discover
herself.
- My Day As
An Insect - In this webquest, students become an insect for a day. They search
selected websites to learn about their insect's body parts, what they eat, and how they
move.
- Octopus - An easy
to follow webquest for learning about the Octopus.
- San
Diego City Schools Projects Database - As a part of a Technology Challenge Grant, San
Diego City School teachers created webquests. There are over 70 webquests for grades
K-3 (several of the most outstanding are listed on this resource page).
- Trekking the
Tidepool - This is a well-written webquest to help young children learn about
tidepools and the animals that live there.
- Whales World - This
webquest is a great resource for learning about whales.
- The World of Puppets
- This is a webquest that has children use the Internet to visit other countries and see
what puppets different countries like. The students then make a puppet and write a
script for a puppet show.
