This is an update on the God Flag, and Country speech contest sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  On March 25,2007 the three winners (Caleb Yeatts - 10-11, Nancy Rupp - 12-13, and Rebecca Shelton - 14-15) from the contest held at Wapak Eagles #691 went to Rockford to compete in the District 22 contest.  Caleb won in the 10-11 year age group, Nancy placed 3rd in the 12-13 year age group, and Rebecca won in the 14-15 year age group.  The winner in the 12-13 year age group was Brooke Hertenstein form St. Marys Lodge #767,  The three winners form each age group went on to compete in the Zone competition on April 14, 2007 at Amherst, Ohio.  All Three (Caleb, Brooke, and Rebecca) from District 22 won their respective age groups at Zone.  They will now go to State competition on May 5, 2007 at Defiance.      GOOD LUCK to these three YOUNG ADULTS at this level.  The winners at Zone Level will compete in the National competition.
