The Mad-Dogs of the Drug War

There are a lot of people in American government that could be classed as "bad guys" in reference to their stance on marijuana. These are some of the worst, and most prominent.

Harry Anslinger and Friends were probably the single most influential and effective voice against marijuana in history. It could be argued that this man (and Friends) is largely responsible for the present-day madness that is the drug war.

Gerald B. H. Solomon has probably introduced more prohibitionist legislation than any other Congressman in history! Here are a few samples...

Newt Gingrich, the Speaker of the House, is trying to get into a "get tough" contest with the Clinton administration.

Lauch Faircloth is another warrior we should pay attention to. This North Carolina senator wants to get tough on doctors who recommend mj.

Orrin Hatch (R-UT) As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Hatch has a LOT of pull. He's been the Senate's staunchest supporter of prohibition for many years. [Not up yet]
