The Fort Recovery local school system is very progressive and has initiated new, state recognized programs including a self-supporting preschool, gifted programs, diverse academic programs, a championship band and talented athletic program.

The school systems host a staff of teachers, the majority of whom either hold or are currently working on Masters Degrees. The high school recently completed North Central accreditation with no citations.

Attendance of students approach 97% daily and a well-rounded, community supported academic, vocational and extra-curricular program is provided. The most recent school system grade card released by the State shows Fort Recovery receiving a grade of 17 out of a possible 18, one of very few in the State achieving this standard.
