O-1 Pontoon Outing

Many local homes display a beautiful oil painting that includes the fort painted by Robert VanTrees. Now is your chance to own one of Bob’s paintings! Look for his special trademark (the jet streak in the sky) and feel the nostalgia. Robert VanTrees donated this priceless painting with framing handcrafted and donated by Bob Hart.

For the sports enthusiast and especially for Cleveland Browns’ fans, this entry is sure to please. Eric Metcalf ran many touchdowns for the Browns. The famous running back’s autographed #21 Cleveland Browns jersey has been framed and is donated by Jim Zehringer.

Jim Zehringer is offering a piece of the original fort built by Anthony Wayne’s troupes (previously owned by Clete Wangler). This framed piece of the fort makes a great conversation piece and a way of owning a bit of Fort Recovery’s history. Place a generous bid on this priceless item.

O-20 Mary Help of Christians Painting

The former Mary Help of Christians church conjures up warm memories for many parishioners. Robert VanTrees captured this scene in this beautiful oil painting of the church. Framed and donated by Nancy Knapke, this painting is one of a kind.

Known for her lovely hosta garden, Jeanette Grieshop would like to host a garden party for you and up to twenty of your lady friends! This event must be in June to enjoy the garden at its peak of beauty. Mutually agreed upon date and time.

S-3 Book by Lowell Thomas

Remember Lowell Thomas’ distinctive voice as he broadcasted from all over the world? Born in Woodington, Ohio, Thomas authored many books about world travel and wrote Pageant of Adventure in 1940. This book is a first edition and a great find. Donated by Adam Beach.

S-4 Book by Booth Tarkington

The Gentleman from Indiana was written in 1899 by American author Booth Tarkington. Tarkington was known for his writing about the wholesome aspects of life in the Midwest. This book is a second edition and published in 1902. It was donated by Adam Beach.

S-5 Book by Henry VanDyke

Published in 1902, The Ruling Passion would be a great addition to your book collection. Van Dyke wrote with a wonderful combination of nature and human nature. Curl up with this good book on a cool winter’s eve. Donated by Adam Beach.

S-35 Cowboy Sculpture

What is more American than the beloved cowboy? This beautiful sculpture shows an American cowboy in typical western attire-cowboy boots and hat, jeans, shirt, and leather vest. With a lasso in his hand, the branding irons rest at his side. Donated by Buck and Pat Mays, you’ll be proud to display this sculpture in your office or home.

This painting is a modern work of art and measures 41" w x 31" h. Earth tones (browns, yellow ochre, greens) used in the painting coordinate with many decors. Dr. Mark Beach donated this textured dimensional work.
