Jersey Farms
The Braemere Farm
Our forebearers arrived on this property in 1847 and started hacking this piece of wilderness into a functioning farm. Five generations later, we are still working at it. Our farm is located in Southwestern Ontario, Canada 5 kilometers (3 miles) south of the small city of Stratford. We farm approximately 160 acres and have a herd of registered Jerseys.

Whetstone Farm
We raise registered Jersey cattle. We sell our milk to the St. Albans coop, which supplies Ben & Jerry's Homemade with the fresh cream they use in their ice cream. We also tap about a thousand maple trees and make terrific maple syrup at Whetstone Farm. In 1994, our syrup won best of show at the Orleans County Fair in Barton, Vermont.

Holstein Farms
Brandizzi's Farm
A family operation located 24 kilometers north of Rome, on the Aurelia road, in an area with a high density of dairy farms. We farm about 250 hectares, milk 120/130 head of purebred Holstein Frisian, and we have about 70 beef cows (Chairolais x Maremmana cross) on pasture. The section concerning the dairy farm is under construction but there are excellent pictures of the farm's historical roots, (including pictures of Maremmana cattle).

The Cannons
Named for two ancient cannons sitting out in front of the house. This is the dairy farm of Jason Rankin: "I can usually be found milking, scraping muck, shifting cows and the like. I live in the green and pleasant land of Northern Ireland were I farm with my father."

Norman Kolstad's Home Page
I am a dairy farmer in Underwood, in West Central Minnesota. The area is well suited to dairy farming with its rolling hills, numerous lakes, and adequate rainfall. Farms are traditionally small but larger dairy operations are now springing up. I milk 80 cows in a freestall\parlor setup. We grow corn and alfalfa for forage on 215 acres.

VanWagner Holsteins
VanWagner Dairy is a family farm in Sparr, Florida USA, located eighty miles north of Disney World, mid-way between world-famous Daytona Beach on the east coast and Cedar Key on the Gulf of Mexico.

We have 300 head of milk cows and an equal number of heifers. Cows are fed an 18%CP, 81%NEL TMR consisting of corn silage, whole cottonseed, wet brewers grain, hominy and shredded alfalfa hay, balanced with a 24% protein/vitamin/mineral concentrate. The same ration is fed to all milk cows and cows are fed two to three times a day. Dry matter intake averages 54 pounds a day, depending on the weather. During the hot, humid summer months, we try to adjust the feed ration to compensate for lower feed intake.

Owenlea Farm Registered Holsteins
We live among the unchanging Swartzentruber Amish and the countless new houses of that strange and unpredictable tribe,"The City People". The farm is located in Northeastern Ohio about 40 miles or 65 kilometers south of Lake Erie, on the cold wet clay soil of Homer Township, Medina County, State of Ohio, USA.
