Disaster Services

Every year thousands of families across the country suffer disasters, whether from hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, severe winter storms, or fires, the Red Cross is there. The Red Cross is recognized world wide for it's volunteers responding to such emergencies, these volunteers setup Mass Care shelters to house and feed those affected, they also feed the emergency workers who are assisting in the affected areas. Another service the Red Cross supplies is Damage Assessment by which the government can get the figures to give out financial assistance through FEMA and other agencies. A third service provided is Emergency Family Assistance, which provides temporary financial assistance to those affected. This assistance consists of temporary housing, clothing, and food given those affected can get back on their feet with the assistance of their insurance, and other assistance provided through referrals from the Red Cross.
