History

James Dore fought crime as the costumed adventurer American Eagle in the 1940's. During World War II, he joined with other superhumans such as Power Princess and Professor Imam to form The Golden Agency. Years later he had a son, James Jr, whom he trained to take up his mantel when he became too old to fight crime himself. James Jr did eventually replace his father as American Eagle but, after a political argument, renownced that name and took the identity Cap'n Hawk. They never spoke after that. Each wanted to make up, but both were too stubborn to take the first step.

James Dore Sr. died of a heart condition when he could not get more medicine during the Overmind riots.
