The Wapakoneta grapplers had their hands full when entering one of the toughest tournaments in the nation, but after the first day of wrestling they cruised to the top of the current team standings. Giving the team a 14th place standing out of 88 teams as the first day came to a close.
The wrestlers who earned a birth to the next day of wrestling were Brent Miller, Aaron Miller, Nick Harpster,Doug Wernke, and Jared Selover.
After a long day of wrestling, Grant Gillette, Gabe Bartlett, Cory Stahler, Ryan Wickline, Seth Bowersock, and Adam Geib were all eliminated in the final round of constalation matches for the night.
