Van Wert Wrestling Scores

Jerry and I went to Van Wert Tuesday to see this meet. It was very exciting,with Defiance leading all the way to 189, with Edwards,Penton and Benner winning to take the victory.

After beating Defiance away last year, the Cougars got to put a show on for the hometown crowd. And what a crowd, the largest I've seen at VW. The basketball team was there with spirit t-shirts and alot of noise.Many other students and adults made up the audience, with a few folks from other schools making the trip to see the meet.

Nice to see the old hometown friends, their sons and coaches building a good program. I again see Van Wert as the top contender to Wapakoneta at the league tournament and next year as they have a young squad.
