The Kalida Lion's Park has acres of shaded picnic areas. There is a soccer field, 4 tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts.
The Putnam County Youth Soccer League sponsors soccer for boys and girls, ages 6 through 14 during the summer.
The Holy Name Society sponsors baseball and softball leagues for boys and girls ages 6 through 14 during the summer.
Country Acres Golf Club is an 18-hole public course three miles north of Kalida.
There are also about 15 other golf courses within about one-half hour drive from
Kalida.
Northwest Fitness Club and Physical Therapy, Putnam County YMCA and P-T
Services are located in Ottawa, Ohio. They specialize in health and
fitness and offer Nautilus equipment, aerobic classes, racquetball and
walleyball courts, treadmills, eliptical trainers, etc.
Fishing is good to excellent in the streams surrounding Kalida. Lake Erie is nearby (approximately
100 miles) and is alive and well. The walleye and perch give local fisherman much entertainment.
