Are you a software junkie? Some computer
users have installed many less than
useful
programs on their computers that just
take
up disk space. Following is a list
of programs
I would recommend for the average computer
user. The Internet Explorer or Netscape for Internet Browsing. Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works for word processing, spreadsheets, or data bases. WinZip for unzipping compressed files that you download from the internet. Outlook Express for sending and receiving Email. Eudora isn't a bad second choice. Some students like Hotmail or Yahoo mail so they can have separate accounts from their parents. ACDSEE for viewing graphic files or listening to sound waves. An excellent free graphic viewing program called i_view32 can be downloaded from the Internet. Print Shop or PrintMaster or some other program to make signs, certificates, banners, or calendars. Fun Software: For my young students. Many of these programs are downloadable from sites on the net like CNET, ZDNET, or Winfiles. mIRC Chat Excite Chat (not porno!)
