Welcome to the Ohio Telephone Association

The Ohio Telephone Association (OTA) is an organization that is 101 years old. We are the first established telephone association in the United States. There are currently 42 local exchange telephone companies in the state of Ohio, 34 of those are small companies.

There are also 95 associate members who supply goods and services to the telephone industry.

All of our members who are local exchange carriers are regulated by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). Currently there are in excess of 6 million lines bringing service to every Ohioan.
