GUM CARE

BEFORE

AFTER

Gingivitis is a reversible disease that begins at the gumline collar around the neck of a tooth. It is caused by plaque bacteria. The gums become reddened, swollen, loose, and may bleed when you eat or brush your teeth. A more advanced gum disease, periodontitis, also affects the gum and causes irreversible destruction of the bone that holds the teeth. Dr. Ramsey and dental hygienist will monitor the health of your gums at every visit and recommend home care methods to prevent or control any form of gum disease that may occur.
