Charles R. "Dick" Wolfe
Charles R. "Dick" Wolfe, 85, 1599 St. Marys Ave., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at 5:42 a.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 8, 1926, in Sidney, the son of the late Francis Hunton and Agnes Elizabeth (Moore) Wolfe.                                                      


On Nov. 22, 1952, he married Georgia Eva Williams, who preceded him in death May 6, 2000.

He is survived by six children, Rick Wolfe and wife, Vickie, of Sidney, Terry Wolfe and wife, Donna, of Plainfield, Ind., Jerry Wolfe and wife, Annette, of New Knoxville, Larry Wolfe and wife, Melinda, of Powder Springs, Ga., Mrs. Darrell (Shirlee) Hewitt, of Sidney, and Tim Wolfe and wife, Angie, of Anna; two brothers, Thomas Eugene Wolfe and wife, Betty, and Ronald Lee Wolfe and wife, Rebecca, both of Sidney; three sisters, Dorothy Ann Duncan, of Cookville, Tenn., Grace Eileen Boyer, of Anna, and Frances Elizabeth King, of Springfield; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Louella Wolfe, and one brother, Daniel Edward Wolfe.

Mr. Wolfe was a member of the 1944 and 1947 graduating classes of Sidney High School, due to his enlistment in the U.S. Army Air Corps during high school. He retired as a truck driver from General Highway Express. He was a member of Sidney Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30
a.m. at Sidney Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Moran officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. A military service will be conducted Thursday evening at 7:45 p.m. by the Sidney American Legion Post 217.
