Touching all people with the Good News of Jesus Christ

as commanded in Matthew 28:17-20

For this reason Sidney Baptist Church is devoted to:

Worship, the coming together of God's people to glorify Him in one spirit, joyously celebrating our eternal life through Jesus Christ by prayer, praise and the study of His Word.

John 4:23-24; Rev. 7:9-12

Evangelism, enthusiastically, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with lost family, friends, neighbors and all others by word and deed, seeking a commitment to His Lordship as evidenced by baptism and membership in a local church.

Acts 1:8; 1 Pet. 3:15

Teaching/Discipling, the enlightening of unbelievers, and the continual nurturing and equipping of believers in the practical application of sound doctrine as recorded in the living Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Eph. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 3:16-27

Ministry/Service, eagerly serving the church and the community in such a way that their physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs will be met through love and care in order to glorify God and build up the body of Christ.

Matt. 25:35-40

Fellowship, the bonding of the believers in a oneness of Christian spirit, providing encouragement and a loving sharing concern for fellow brothers and sisters in all seasons.

Rom. 12:9-21; Phil. 2:1-4

As a New Testament church (Acts 2:41-47), in our faithful endeavor to fulfill this mission, we leave the results in the hands of our sovereign God.
