TERESA KAY POWERS, 54, of 10444 Museum Trail, Lockington passed away at 8:15
PM Sunday, June 5, 2011 at her home. She was born on February 15, 1957 in
Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Wooten and Lucy (Moses) Keeton,
who survives in Sidney.
In 1973 Teresa was married to David Lynn Powers. They separated in 1978 and were
remarried again on October 6, 2000; a love to strong to be denied. Her husband
David survives her along with one daughter, Mrs. (James) Laura Hicks of
Lockington, five step children; Wayne Brady of NC, David Powers and wife Mandy
of Sidney, Mrs. Joe (Damara) Harrod of Quincy, Warren Powers and Verlin Powers,
both of NC, one grandchild, James Hicks, six step-grandchildren, two sisters;
Mrs. John (Krissy) Bowyer and Mrs. John (Vicki) Perry, both of Sidney, and three
brothers; David Wooten and wife Deb, Matt Wooten and wife Karen, and
Michael Wooten and wife Jennifer, all three of Sidney.
Mrs. Powers was a Homemaker. She was a member of the World Mission For Christ
Church in Sidney for more than 15 years. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother and
grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A special love
and thanks to Lou and Hazel Russell.
In following with Teresa's wishes her body will be cremated. A Memorial Service
will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11 AM at the Cromes Funeral Home &
Crematory, 302 S. Main Ave., with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. The
family will receive friends Thursday from 10AM until the hour of service.
