Comic Books

I started reading comic books when I was very young, and so far I haven't stopped. My tastes have changed some over the years, but a few things have remained consistent. Here are the comic books I am really enjoying right now. Most of what I read is from DC, but I do have a few independents I like.

• Superman

• Superman Through the Ages has a nice layout and a lot of information, including reviews and interviews.
• Elliot S! Maggin, Super-Scribe!

• The Legion of Super-Heroes has one of the most devoted fandoms in existence and it is a very visible presence on the Web. Here are some of the better sites I have found dealing with them.

• LSH.org is set up for fans to have their own LSH email and web addresses. They also have a list of Legion related links.
• The Legion of Super-Heroes Help File is full of information on the Legion, both pre- and post- Reboot. Well worth the download time.
• The Legion of Super-Resources is somewhat dated, but still has a lot of good information and links.

• The other member of the World's Finest is of course Batman.

• The Dark Knight is an interactive site, including not only a lot of information but also a search engine to find specific items and a couple of chat rooms to talk to other fans.

• The Flash

• Flash: Those Who Ride The Lightning is devoted to the Flash and his allies and enemies. Nice job with several articles and pictures, including some windows wallpapers.

• Green Lantern

• The Unofficial Green Lantern Corps Web Page

• Astro City: Local Heroes This is a mini-series set in the same univers as the original series and Kurt Busiek's Astro City. Glad there is finally more stories coming out. There is a collection of the 6 issues from the first series put out by Homage Comics called Astro City: Life in the Big City. You don't need it to understand the current series but it is worth reading. And picking up the compilations of the second series is also a good idea.
