Joe Diffie
Here is an artist that can do anything. He does humorous songs, love songs, and ballads, and he does them all well.
Night To Remember
Joe's newest release is something of a departure from his usual. There are no songs like Third Rock from the Sun or Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox on this one. There is a certain amount of humor in a couple of songs, but nothing that is out and out funny. He has said in an interview that he wanted to get away from his reputation as a humorous singer and show his more serious side.
The songs he chose, including 4 he co-wrote, are quite good. From the title song and first single, "A Night To Remember" to "Don't Our Love Look Natural," these are good songs sang by one of the best singers in Country music. Styles range from the sad "You Can't Go Home Again" to the semi-humorous "My Heart's In Over My Head." There is an overall theme, with each song touching on some aspect of love and relationships. All in all, a solid CD, with a lot of enjoyment for Joe's fans.

- Very nice collection of prior hits by Joe. There are also three new songs, one of which, Texas Size Heartache, is already on its way to being yet another hit. And if you are running Windows 3.1 or 95 there is an added bonus of a multimedia program you can run on your computer. It has comments from Joe and the various songwriters about the songs on the CD. It also includes bits and pieces of his other songs.
