Kate Elliott, also known as Alis Rasmussen, is a very versatile and entertaining writer. Alis had some earlier books that unfortunately did not do well, so her publisher asked for her later books to be written under a different name. And Kate Elliott was born. Her books have done very well, because they are very good books. She has written both science fiction and fantasy, alone and with others.
