I have switched my teaching position from 9-12 high school physical education at Celina Senor High School to K-4 physical education at New Bremen Elementary for the past 3 years. I have lived in New Bremen for 20 years so the shorter drive is Great! My husband, Jerry, farms approximately 700 acres of land. My son, Rob, plays football, basketball, track, and baseball for New Bremen. Rob's biggest accomplishment was placing 2nd in the state track meet in the 800 meter race in June of '97.

I am currently completing my 21st year as an educator in the state of Ohio. For the past seven years I have been employed by the Knox County Career Center in Mt. Vernon, Ohio which is a joint vocational school offering trade and technical training to junior and senior high school students. Since earning a Master's Degree in the early '80's, I continue to take graduate courses at Ashland University and recently received my supervisor's certificate. My son will be a freshman in high school next year and in addition to trying out for football, he plays bass guitar and is a member of the school's jazz band. My daughter, who will be a fourth grader enjoys softball and is also studying gymnastics and jazz dance. Both the kids are a real joy! My parents still reside in St. Marys and are avid travelers, their recent vacations have taken them to Florida, New England and the Island of Aruba. My brother David, (Class of '76), also resides in St. Marys with his wife Susan (the best sister-in-law in the world) and their three delightful daughters.

I'm kept very busy with our daughter Jennifer. She is active in basketball and fast - pitch softball. I have volunteered in the school library for the last 6 years. I sub for the librarian when she can't be there. this is my second year doing that. Jen will go to middle school next year. I still plan to volunteer but would like to find something part-time. We are all active in our church choir. I belong to a ladies daytime Euchre group. We also have a basket class once a month. It's fun to joke with Jim & Jen that I'll be ready for advanced classes when they drive me to the funny farm. We really enjoy our life here. One of our favorite pastimes is to drive down into Amish country. It's a lovely drive and I enjoy looking at the craft shops for new ideas.

We still try to get home once a month, but by the time we visit with our families there isn't much time left for friends.

We're really looking forward to the summer! I enjoy helping at the school, but it will be nice to have a break! Our kids go until the 6th of June, I think they gave up the first part of May. If anyone gets up to our area, please get in touch! We're only 45 minutes from Sea World. 1 hr. from Amish Country and 1 hr from Cleveland. So there's always something to see and do! We'd love to hear from you!
