Line the approach to the Finish Line with a smooth chute. 4.
Spray ducks with anti-static aerosol to keep them separated. 4.
Put up a wind screen to keep breeze from blowing ducks upstream. 8.
Get heavier ducks that will draw more current and catch less wind. 6.
Release water into the St. Marys River from the Miami and Erie Canal Feeder upstream. 3.
The race is over 100 yards long and water is notoriously hard to push - especially water that is 2 to 7 feet deep, 40 feet wide and flowing over a very uneven riverbottom.
Poor access - river is quite rocky and banks are riprapped.
Excess administrative red tape.
