FOLLOW THE  INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO CREATE AN ICON TO THE PAINTBRUSH PROGRAM.

  1. Right click on the desktop.
  2. Highlight NEW in the popup menu.
  3. Click SHORTCUT.
  4. Click the BROWSE button. A new window will appear on the screen that looks like:

* (The Paintbrush program is located on the hard drive (drive letter C) under the Accessories folder which is located in the Programs folder).

  1. Click the down arrow at the end of the Look In box.  Find the drive letter C and click it.

  2. Use the scroll bar to move the folders to the right and find the Program Files folder.  Double click it.

  3. Next find the Accessories folder and double click it.

  4. Find the file called MSPaint.exe (or it might just be Paint.exe) and double click it.  The Create Shortcut window should reappear with the command line filled in.  The command line represents the path to the program (First it goes to the C: drive, then to the Program Files folder, then to the Accessories folder, and finally it will find a file called Mspain.exe which will run the Paintbrush program).

  1. Click the Next button.

  2. Give the icon a name and click the Finish button.
