INTERACTIVE WEBSITES:

  1. Cool Science for Curious Kids (may take a minute or so to load the interactive sessions)
  2. CNN Interactive Learning Resourses (This is a must-see site!  Go to the Story of the Week or the Story Archives and check out the variety of online quizzes).
  3. American Sign Language - Shows the letters of the alphabet, a sign language quiz, or enter a word and it will be signed back to you!
  4. Funbrain.com - All sorts of stuff here! Teachers can even give their class a "paperless" quiz and have the results emailed back to them!
  5. Abraham Lincoln Quiz or an Abraham Lincoln Treasure Hunt
  6. China Quizzes or a Chinese Calendar (note the icons are hand drawn and then scanned)
  7. Hedgehog Quiz
  8. Solar System Quiz

 

ONLINE ADVENTURES:

  1. Annenberg/CPB Exhibits - A must-see website!  These are some of the best interactive and collaborative projects around!
  2. GlobaLearn.com - A well-known online expedition site, GlobaLearn sends explorers out every year to various parts of the globe.  The online explorers post daily journal entries about their adventure as well as respond to emails from participating schools.
  3. Integrating the Internet - This website has many nice links to collaborative projects.  It includes a link to iKeepBookmarks.com, a website that allows you to maintain your bookmarks over the internet!  With this website, it doesn't matter what computer you go to, your bookmarks can go with you!
  4. The Internet Schoolhouse - Online projects and lesson plans!  This is the home of the I Lost My Tooth project.
  5. Journey North - This is just one of the many Annenberg/CPB projects.  From February 2, 2000 to June 1, 2000, students across the United States will track the migration of various species.  There will be online communication with scientists as well.
